And lays it heavy with opinions. "Nightmarishly gory..." Right. I've had no bad dreams or feelings, or anyting of the like from that movie.

Well, I never heard anything about that. And I don't see any real reason for a workable adult rating here. It's just surreal imagery.

Well, it looked kinda cool. This stuff isn't mentioned in the ads.

I'll say that the movie is surreal. I'll say it's gory, and probably will give little kids nightmares. 'Little Kids' is the term I'm using here. It won't give teenagers a fright; look at me. Adults will like it. It's a mind trip, but slightly more than that, so it's cool. I don't think a 'workable adult rating' should be put into practice, because the I wouldn't have been able to see this film.
