The people who argue that abortions are immoral because it's a taking of a life but abortions are okay if the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest are, in my opinion, hypocritical. When did a child conceived by rape or by incest stop being a viable human being?

Here's some clarification on my view of abortion.

I feel that every possible alternative to abortion ought to be considered before one makes a decision. I think people ought to be taught about these alternatives. I feel that in almost every case (except when it endangers the mother's/child's life) there's a better alternative to abortion. But not everybody sees it that way. And if you were to create a law saying nobody can have an abortion, that would only result in illegal abortions, or women trying to give themselves abortions, or people having babies and not knowing what to do with them. So you give people the freedom to have an abortion, but take every opportunity you can to educate people about why doing such a thing could be prevented somehow.

On a completely unrelated topic, this is about how I feel about the legalization of drugs. Obviously the laws we have in place do nothing, as there are millions of people out there doing drugs. I think if we just legalized them, things wouldn't be as bad. And I don't really have enough time to explain all my arguments about this, so if anybody disagrees, just say your view and I'll respond later.
