The problem with least favorite movies is that they were so bad no one knows about them or remembers them any more. That's why IMDb's "worst movie" list isn't funny -- we don't recognize them.

That being said, I don't think anyone will know my least favorite movie. It came out about four years ago, when I was a soph in high school... it was called "Alaska" and it was about two kids and their dad and this little polar bear cub ("Cubby") that they rescue or save or something. I remember hardly anything about it, except that the girl was the cute kid from Beethoven, just a little bit older. This movie was a culmination of all that is sickening in animal movies -- unrealistic plot, bad actors, no belief (on my part) that a polar bear is the solution to all of life's problems.

The kicker? It was my first date. I was fourteen and he was fifteen. We saw it because he didn't want to take me to see a PG-13 movie ("Alaska", unsurprisingly enough, was PG). His parents drove us and sat behind us in the theatre. Let me tell you, it was a blast.

Jes"is glad she has figured out what a date is supposed to be by now"sica
