I have no clue *what* an ocean pie is.

Shoofly pie [not *shoe*-fly], according to Webster's, is "a rich pie of Pennsylvania-Dutch origin made of molasses or brown sugar sprinkled with a crumbly mixture of flour, sugar, and butter".

And as for Moon Pie, well...though available throughout the US, according to their official webpage (see below), they're definitely Southern in origin. Maybe you've heard them called "marshmallow pies" or "marshmallow sandwiches" or the like. Two cake layers, with marshmallow filling in between, covered in chocolate, banana, or vanilla topping...
