> Well, I might as well go ahead and answer this one. I'm a veghead for taste reasons. Ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I haven't liked the taste of meat. So, a soy burger claiming that it tastes "Just like a hamburger" has no appeal to me at ALL! Gardenburgers are good because they taste nothing like a hamburger.

Do you see what I'm getting at? They have made this HUGE sacrifice (for themselves, anyway. For me, not so much) of not eating meat...not because they don't like it, but because they don't like the idea of eating something dead. Or some such thing.

Over the past few years, I've become a vegetarian (except for chicken sometimes) mainly because cancer runs rampant through both sides of my family, and red meat supposedly doesn't help. I was never a big meat eater, anyway, so I don't miss it at all. And there are those times where it just thoroughly grosses me out.

Gardenburgers aren't bad, if you're not expecting them to taste like hamburgers. If you are, then you're in for a big disappointment.

Here's another thought: Have you ever seen a fat vegetarian?
