I know nothing about such things, and my suggestion probably won't even help, because if you can't get sleep at night....
What about sleeping during the day? It has been suggested that those with lifestyles that force them to keep weird hours that rather than getting all your sleep in one big chunk, that you try two smaller chunks. It has something to do with the sleep cycle and when, while you're sleeping, your body gets the most out of it. If you are able to get to sleep in the late afternoon, and you can sleep for about four hours then, then a five hour night's sleep at stupid o'clock would round out the day.
Hence my reservation. I don't know a lot of people that can force themselves to sleep during the day. My wife can't, even when she's exhausted. If you can, there you go.
The other thing I've found is that it's sometimes easier to get to sleep on a sofa outside your bedroom. I don't know why, and it may not be like this for you, or even most people, but it works for Leen and me.
