I don't mind spiders, mainly because I've seen *tropical* ones, and anything we get here seems laughable in comparison. What I do mind are wetas. Picture an armour-plated steroid-enhanced grasshopper the size of a small hamster. Specifically, I mind the fact that my cat believes I want as many of these things as she can bring me.
You'd get on well with my sister, though. Her theory is, if you come home and find a spider in your house, you basically salvage what uncontaminated belongings might be in the other rooms, abandon the rest, and move house.
