It wasn't the worst movie ever, it actually *had* a plot, a feature which some films lack. However, it certainly treaded on no new ground. It followed a simplistic, overdone formula meant to tug at the heart strings. The whole story is contrived; is there really any doubt to anyone that they *won't* end up together by the end? Anyone who didn't see that coming were probably also quite shocked when the ship sank in 'Titanic'.
It's certainly far down on the list of 'best movies'.
