Anyway, the most irritating part was that one of the most common responses was You've Got Mail. What are you guys thinking? Let me tell you that I say that on an airplane and it was quite possibly the worst movie ever. So, if you agree with me, feel free to express yourself. > > > > Right on! Say it loud! You Got Mail was a below avarge chic flic with a timley yet trite premise. I had to sit through two watching of it because my Mom and Sister liked it. Oh the humanity. > > > > Spider-Ihaveturnedthemoonintoa"deathstar"-Boy > > It wasn't the worst movie ever, it actually *had* a plot, a feature which some films lack. However, it certainly treaded on no new ground. It followed a simplistic, overdone formula meant to tug at the heart strings. The whole story is contrived; is there really any doubt to anyone that they *won't* end up together by the end? Anyone who didn't see that coming were probably also quite shocked when the ship sank in 'Titanic'. > It's certainly far down on the list of 'best movies'. > > Tra "one thumb down, and one twitching spasmodically" nio
Speaking of Titanic, isn't it ironic that the biggest moneymaker of all time wasn't on anyone's best movie list? I mean, back in '98 you couldn't go to the bookstore, turn on the TV, or listen to the radio without being bombarded with documentaries, commercials and Celine Dion (respectively). And now, a year later, it's like 'Titanic who?'
M"I'd defend You've Got Mail, but Sam and famous have already done a good job of that:-)"el
