Okay, here's the deal. I'm taking a writing course, and was wondering if I could bounce some stuff off the forum before having to read it in class.

I promise that nothing I write is very long, in fact, the focus is poetry, so I've been mainly working on that. [The whole "bad poems" thread reminded me of my work ;)]

I don't want to just post this stuff without asking first. I'd like to post afew pieces, and hear back from anyone with time and inclination to criticize. (Especially you Howard, being a former english teacher, and all. )

So let me know if I can. I've got a few pieces I'd like to "try out" on you guys before subjecting myself to more public humiliation (i.e. presenting in class).
