First of all, I'd like to say "Hello" since this is my first time posting here.

I can not believe at all that Clinton would bomb Iraq just to divert attention from himself. Think of all the people that would have to be in on a "conspiracy" like that. He would have had to coordinate with the British Prime minister, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Saddam himself, and many others. I can't believe that all of these people would all agree to bomb Iraq just so Clinton can improve his image.

As I write this (10:30 local time, 19 Dec 98) two out of four articles of impeachment have passed. I feel that Clinton has committed enough to warrant impeachment. Keep in mind that impeachment does not necessarily mean he will be kicked out of office. He was under oath and lied. If any of us lie under an oath, especially in court, we could end up in jail. The impeachment, as I understand it, is like a conviction in court, but not the sentencing for the crime. He has been found guilty of perjury. The next step is the "sentencing". They may just fine him, they may kick him out of office, whatever they choose to do, I hope it is fair in light of the severity of the crime.
