Voodoo Tiger is the best of the Jungle Jim series. That's not to
say that it transcends its pulpy formula and limited production budget,
merely that it is the best example of what this series is: an earnest romp
around studio sets drenched in vines and intercut with footage of trained
exotic animals growling at handlers just off-screen. In this episode,
Jungle Jim teams up with a researcher to investigate a tiger cult and a
Nazi war criminal. He spends less time than usual fighting plush animals,
which gives an escaped performing tiger a chance to fill in, tangling with
a leopard, a crocodile, and a water buffalo over the course of the film.
