For dog (and possibly cat) lovers, this heartwarming remake of the 1963 film, The Incredible Journey, is a must. This time, the animals talk, voiced by Michael J. Fox, Sally Field, and, in a performance that makes a good film great, screen veteran Don Ameche. Some of the script is played for laughs, yet this does not compromise the suspense, drama, or heart of the story, and there's an abundance of each. A word of praise must be said about the cinematography, also: it's gorgeous, capturing the animals and the scenery at their best. This one should please the young and old alike.
