Fine family film about two dogs and a cat who get lost in the wilderness and have to find their way back to the family that owns them. Unlike the 1993 remake, the animals do not talk, nor is it played for laughs. The story is narrated, and the animals still manage to emerge as colorful characters that evoke our concern and sympathy.
