Gone, and hopefully not forever.

Cloey ran away from home last night. I only think Kysle knows who she is, so I'll inform you all. Cloey is a puppy, a German Shepherd. She's not even a year old, but she's already fully grown. She got off her leash last night and ran off into the countryside. My aunt's house has a *huge* backyard, and the yard is surrounded by forest, so chances of Cloey finding her way back here are slim. There are also some less-than-tolerant farmers in the area, and I wouldn't be surprised if she's already been shot by now. I am hoping for her safe return. While this family's only had her for a short time, and she's annoyed me at this keyboard by jumping up on me numerous times within the past few weeks, I really loved having her around. Her scratch marks on my arms have healed by now, though. I guess you don't know what you really have until it's taken away from you. *sigh*
Also someone who I haven't heard from in at least a year: My sister.
Yes, I have a sister. Her name is Kim, she's in her early twenties, and she has been living in Kansas since I was very young. Well, she's my half-sister, anyway. My dad had her in his last marriage, but then he divorced. That's two strikes, Dad. I'm starting to see a pattern here. *sigh again*
I haven't heard from her in the longest time. I miss her a lot, and I sure hope she's okay. Well, I haven't actually seen her in person in around five or six years, but I'm hoping to see her again before one of us kicks it. I mean, come on, it wouldn't kill her to visit her own brother. I guess we weren't that close anyway, she hasn't lived with me normally, ever. Just around a yearly visit during the early years of my life, that's all. I guess I'll send her another email when I get home. I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow.
Oh, and guess what, you guys, I'm an uncle!! Kim's had a boy, Warren, for six years now, I think, and a little niece of mine was born last year, and, er...I forget her name. You can't blame me, I haven't even seen a picture.
I remember like it was yesterday when I was talking to Warren on the phone, but he was almost a baby then. He could almost say my name. I'd give anything to see them again. Warren had the neatest eyes. Grey, like mine, and they always looked sad.
Well, I suppose I'll give my poor hands a rest now. Just got back from playing mini-golf in pouring rain.
