I probably should have mentioned that I didn't use graph paper, as I had none at hand.

The mapping actually gets easier, I find, as you get further down in the dungeon. I have never seen a need to map level 10.

Alternately, there's a spell that you should get soon enough (if you don't have it already) that can help.

Sorry for making this seem harder than it really is. Murkon's Vengeance, once the other hand. . . .
