That year there were 38 students and 7 teachers in the entire school, and the school included kindergarten, elementary, high school, AND COLLEGE. That's right--38 students spread across 17 grades. Some of the teachers taught some classes either in both grade school and high school, or some in both high school and college. Believe it or not, though, we had a band (about 24-26 pieces). Virtually every high school and college student and teacher was in the band, along with some former students.

Yeah? Well, back in MY day, we had only four students and one teacher, and that covered everything from Mozart-in-the-womb all the way up to continuing education for retirees. Not the mention it was fifteen miles in the snow to get there, uphill both ways.
