I realize that. But in this case, the "fact" of Aragorn's age in the movie is pretty much in sync with the appendices to the trilogy. I don't know if PJ got it *exactly* right, but he did manage to convey the right idea... that Aragorn is much, much older than he looks due to his Numenorean blood.
