I think you've nailed it. Wistfulness is exactly what it is, though I was unable to pinpoint it before. Maybe now that I've labeled it, I can deal with it a little better.

Thank you so much for posting this. It verbalized what I've been feeling and really helped me understand myself a little better. That's something very few people can do. :-) Now that I know time is the magic ingredient, I'm willing to give myself time instead of getting frustrated with myself. And silly as it sounds, it's been nice to hear that I'm not alone in feeling this way.
