This evening, I got to sit in on the three hour preview of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I have to say it was pretty good. It followed the plot of the book pretty closely (as the other three have done) although there were some moments that seemed done differently from the book. I don't recall a metal group breaking into "song" in the middle of the Yule Ball.
The bit with the Marauder's map was taken out, but it was covered over with plenty of other clues about the identity of... well.. you know. And if you don't, I'm not ruining it for you.
The triwizard tournament is there in all it's glory, though there is one bit that was just slightly different from the books. Well, I think it was. I might be wrong, because I haven't read the book in a while.
Other unnecessary parts were glossed over. The Quidditch World Cup was shown long enough to introduce us to Krum, and then it cuts to the celebration party with the attack of the Death Eaters. The other tournament champions were not shown fighting with the dragons.
All in all, though, I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed it.
