I think that my food memory has been influenced primarily by the facts that 1: I am a college student, and 2: I am a BROKE college student. Likewise, my food memory is pretty much nonexistant. I live on variations upon the theme of the same, so pretty much all of my meals are kissing cousins of one another. That's what happens when you have no monies and live in a dorm.
Then again, now that I think about it, I remember when I was a kid I was the only one who would eat leftovers multiple days afterwards -- but only if it was something I liked. So if we had spaghetti pie or baked potatoes (or dishes that I can't spell in English :) ), I would happily eat those for many a meal afterwards. So maybe I'm just gifted with a naturally long food memory. In that case, it would explain why my fellow collegiates are always bemoaning their plight to me, and I can't really relate: so long as the food is good, I don't really care if it's the same as yesterday.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some lunch to make. Which will be the same thing I had for lunch yesterday. And the day before.
