I use both of these, and it really helps. I find I can only concentrate so hard for a certain length of time, and then my brain starts wandering off in different directions. So if I'm in Chat, for example, I'll make myself work through a certain spot before I let myself go back and check the chatroom. It really seems to help motivate me.
