And why didn't he kill the wasps and hornets?

If it's very, very cold and you're on Lake Superior, ice skates. If there's a strong wind, a recliner with big wheels and a sail.
> > Crossing-- > I wonder why they always tell you to cross the street at the corner? Sometimes it's a good idea, but far from always. If you cross at the corner, you have to watch traffic from four different directions. There is traffic speeding up, slowing down, and turning. Drivers have to focus on three different dirctions.
A true bureaucrat is not satisfied unless he's telling somebody what to do and how to do it. Common sense is not something that most government people recognize.
> Drugs-- > I keep wondering if drug companies ever think of creating a health scare to sell more drugs.
They (somebody, at least), just did. It's called Avian flu.
> > Autumn-- > If the leaves fall off the trees in the fall because the days are shorter, and not because of weather, why don't they fall at the same time each year? I know a thing or three about leaves and they are late this year. Late changing color, late falling to the ground, and very late getting picked up. In years past, we have had leaves a foot deep in the yard on this date and I worried about the fire hazard. This year, you would have to rake an acre to build a small fire.
Shortening day length plays a big role, but there are several factors involved. The leaves are late here in Colorado Springs, too.
> Thinking?-- > I wonder about those people who drive a gas hog down the interstate at a high rate of speed. Are they thinking, "I can afford it, so it's OK," or have they never heard the expression "non-renewable resource?" Are they thinking about anything at all?
What I wonder is what, if anything, goes through the head of people who follow about one car length behind at 60+ mph. Do they have any conception of how far they travel in the time it takes them to take their foot off the gas and move it over to the brake?
> Take time to check-- > Have you looked in your barn, shed, garage, basement, attic, shop, or chicken house to see if there is an old motor scooter rusting away in there? Somebody might want to restore them to their original beauty. Do you wonder why it took me so long to get around to that?
I've got a scooter, but it's a new one and I use it to save on gas.
