I don't mind modern-day English, although I'd rather have the idioms remain. When people translate into our idioms, we lose the original intent. But on the other hand, and this is not the KJV's fault, but it's very easy to assume a familiar word meant then what it means now, and it's not necessarily the case. And when the modern meaning, though incorrect, seems to make sense in the context, we get a false idea of what is being said.
