Hi all.
Some of you know I have moved to Louisiana for some personal reasons that we won't get into here. What I want to talk about is the hurricane, hence the subject title.
Wow. I am awed by the destruction in the south part of the state, and in Mississippi. I was just in Grand Isle earlier this month. Where we were is probably destroyed right now. And the Superdome is failing as a shelter. My couisn lives down there. Last we heard she was in a hotel on the part of town where there wasn't any flooding. I am really hoping we'll hear from her or her parents soon.
my dad told me he worked in New Orleans in 1965 after a bad hurricane, and it took them working day and night for 8 months to get it back to normal. Who knows how long this will take.
