There are probably at least a few rink-couples who could give you at least a few reasons to remove at least a few of those LOLs. Although virtual marriage still wouldn't work since we would probably be a lot less likely to find 'the one' if we had seven billion people to choose from instead of the current twenty thousand or so.
Plus there would still be genetic imbalances, they would just be primarily based on personality. The funniest most intelligent people would have hundreds of millions of people after them, while the boring annoying people would only have one or two hundred thousand.
