I'm with Dave on this one. The instant we have a virtual reality that is as convincing to my senses as the real world, I'm going to spend all my time there.

I don't buy the "But since you know it's not real, it will be false" argument that you always see in fiction about this subject. If it's fully convincing to my senses, then I don't honestly care whether my world has an external physical reality or not.

Living in a virtual world where reality is more flexible would be in many ways preferable to living in regular old plain non-virtual reality.
