> As for the debate, this may not apply to you, but I know that after my departure, I was in a fairly polarized state of mind for a little bit with regards to my opinions of religion. Over time that's balanced out a bit and I've come to a more understanding place. I've found that Christianity can be fairly interesting to think about, from an atheist/agnostic view. But before, I think I was the kind of person a little too eager to get into a religious "debate", and most likely for the wrong reasons. Again, this might have been just me, and you could be perfectly well-adjusted. Just a word of caution.

Honestly? That might not necessarily be a bad thing. While I have been a realized atheist for years (and I'll admit, I never had any personal issues with friends/family about that), I've always been fascinated by the mythologies of other religions (and I mean other religions. I strongly dislike when the term 'religion' is used, in a general sense, to refer only to Christianity).

Knowing more about what people believe, and why they believe it, even without believing any of that yourself, I think, can never really be a bad thing.

Unless you're talking about the more noticable shouting matches that can easily occur on this subject. But seriously, that can happen on any topic that people feel strongly about. Politics is a good one.

But I'm just rambling now, I think.
