I just got my junior high school schedule for the impending school year. I was incredibly surprised when I read the list of classes and found that all computer courses except the "here's a mouse, here's a spreadsheet, now go screw around in MS Paint" course.

I'll grant that I go to a small, church-supported school, but aren't computer skills one of the things that employers and college recruiters look for on applications, and therefore a subject that should at least have a few classes devoted to it?
