Keep a couple of rules in mind:

1) Time does not advance until you leave the boarding house. You can move up and down the stairs 20 times and no time will have passed.
2) You can't go to dinner until you've found out from Mrs. P when it's served. (This tripped me up.)
3) It kind of varies how many moves you need to make before going back into the boarding house, but 7 moves is the most I've been able to make before getting in for dinner.
4) If you don't make it in on time, you can always try tomorrow. Mrs. P isn't big on counting the days you spend there.
