It's like 9/11 all over again, except that this time I'm only 170 miles from home and the last time I was 2400 miles away.
The first thing you think about is friends and relatives, and like you, I thought of some of the Brits on RinkWorks. My family is made up mostly of travel adicts, and several are actually in the travel industry. My daughter might have been in London, but swapped that trip for one to Germany. She likes the shopping there better! We also made a quick check of our daughter-in-law and grandson who, fortunately had not left yet. It seems they will be in France, and had talked of going to London.
Since the attacks were pretty much at rush hour, I sort of held my breath until rush hour passed in New York, Washington and L.A.
The English are tough. They survived German bombs in the last century and they will survive terrorist bombs in this one. Howard
