person, and no one else seems to be having a problem finding
him. You all talk about him like he welcomed you on the way in.
He must have been out at the time. (forgive my sarcasm,
frustration can be expected) Seriously though, can i get a
direction or something, help me find the guy so i can give him
his fish, and i can move on.

You probably haven't searched every corner of the forest - I
think he's on the south side. And the hungry individual is too far
gone to even tell you he's hungry, he just begs vaguely for help.
