I read recently that movies are slipping a little at the box office. I think it was viewed as a minor bump in the road, considering that movies have survive TV and DVD's and all kinds of other competition.

But I wonder what movies will do next. When they learned to talk, radio was no longer a problem. Then they started filming in color which gave them the jump on early TV. Other challenges were met with 3-D, wide screen, and surround sound. So they will come up with something new, but I can't imagine what.

It seems like special effects have peaked and are becoming sort of ho-hum. Movie goers are not going to be impressed for much longer, because they know that anything is possible with computer magic. The days when a movie can become a hit with a poor script and no tallent but great special effects, have just about come to an end.

I think I'll stay tuned for the next episode.
