Unfortunately, you were misinformed or misremember. The Smash engine/language is used to power the games on Adventure Games Live. The Murkon games are not abstracted in this way -- that is, each was coded directly in C++ rather than a single engine executing specialized game code. Because of this, it's not really feasible to expose the engine for customization.
You are far from the first to express this kind of interest, though, and I've toyed with the idea since well before MV came out. Producing a Smash-like way for users to write their own CRPGs with my engine would be a very tricky project, because of the diversity of functionality I'd have to support to make it all worthwhile. Still, challenges can be fun. I expect I'll revisit the idea after I'm done with my current Role-Player's Vault project, which, I'm fairly certain now, will blow MR and MV out of the water.
