Here is my inventory:

/ / / Button
/ / / Spittoon

I am so totally stuck and just keep going in circles from town to town. I am truly hungry by now but dinner time at the boarding house just never comes around. The Scottish lady just keeps telling me the same thing. dinner will be ready at sixish. she never says anything new. I can't get the lady at the saloon to let me upstairs and she never says anything different either. Someone please give me a boost in the right direction.
