> Seeing that you're Spider-Boy, well, I don't feel quite so bad asking an outdated trivial Spider-related question. So, here goes... What was the real reason why Peter Parker went through that period when we was wearing all-white skintights, instead of the usual red-and-blue ones? And what caused him to switch back? I missed all that... Along with Superman dying and returning from the dead, but hey! I can't keep track of all cultural icons all the time. :-)
I don't know about white skin tights, but he did were a black costume he picked up on battle world during the Secret Wars for a while which turned out to be an alien symbiot that was tring to bond with him (an make him dangerlousy agressive he amost killed some people) so he got rid of it. This regection caused it to bond with Eddie Brock (a ex-reporter who lost his job when Spidey proved he was makeing up news) and they became one of Spider-man's greatest foes Venom.
Ohter costumes include Bag-Man- Pete left his costume at home for some reason so he used a paper bag with holes in it to cover his face Scarlet Spider- this was actually his clone, part of the awfull clone-story line that went on for about two whole years, the clone later wore a varitation on the traditional spider-suit when he became spider-man. Identiy Crisis costumes- Dusk/Prodigy/Richochet/Horent these four new idendties were taken on by Pete when Spidey had a 5 million dollar bounty on his head. Using these new personas he cleared Spider-Man's name and put the other costums away. Mephisto later used the identites to try to capture the soul of a WWII character Black Marvel, and four teenagers, creating a team of heroes called the Slingers. Their book has just been canceled as of issue 12. I think there were some other spider-suits (i recall one issue he made a suit of Spider-Armor) but none of much note.
