Enjoyable indeed.

> They didn't do too much with Adams' new character Humma Kavula, and it seemed to be more focused on the romantic development between Arthur and Trillian than the book or series, but it seemed to stick rather close to the book in terms of plot.

You know, I felt that it stuck to the plot of the book as well, but later it hit me: That's only because the very large amount of totally new stuff was so completely in the same style as what has come before.

> The scenes leading up to and including the planet Earth's destruction were very good (including the dolphins' opening number).

I also enjoyed the scene right before that one - a preview of Chicken Little that was designed to look like it was part of HHGG. Absolutely LOVED* that.

> Sam Rockwell played a convincing Zaphod, though Mos Def's performance of Ford Prefect made him a little too sympathetic to Arthur's worst Thursday ever.

The whole knocking down the house bit struck me as very off, and during it I was subconsiously hoping quite a lot that the rest of the movie was not going to be like that.

I've always thought of Ford less as non-sympathetic to Arthur's problems and more as non-comprehending of why they are problems in the first place.

> I also like how they did the Vogons. When I had heard they were made by Jim Henson's Creature Shop rather than computer generated it piqued my interest in the film even more.

The Vogons were AMAZING. Light-years beyond any expectations I may have had.
