I did not know about this. A fun original. A sequel is not needed. Lame.

This movie's stock actually went up for me after seeing the original recently.
> May 27 - Madagascar > Ever since Pocahontas came out, I haven't enjoyed any of the Disney movies that I've seen. I may have missed some decent ones but I don't think I laughed once in New Groove. A co-worker quotes it constantly, though.

My wife will want to see this and then she'll wonder why she wasted her time.
> June 17 - Batman Begins > It will be hard for this to be worse than any of the others.

I'm tired of unoriginal "remakes" and I'm tired of Nicole Kidman.
> July 8 - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory > Why, Tim, why? The original is so perfect in so many ways. Well, except for "Cheer up, Charlie."
> > July 20 - Kronk's New Groove > See Above re: Disney
> July 22 - The Island > Michael Bay has not made a single movie worth my time or money.
> July 22 - The Bad News Bears > Again, I ask "Why???"
> > July 29 - The Brothers Grimm > Even Gilliam's bad movies are fun to watch.
> August 5 - 3001 > See "Futurama"
> > August 5 - The Dukes of Hazzard > ARGGGHHHHHH
> > August 12 - The Pink Panther > Watch the originals. And anything else with Sellers.
> August 19 - Romance & Cigarettes > > August is also that place where intriguing little quirky things live. It's a "savage" musical, described as a cross between Pennies From Heaven and The Honeymooners. It is directed by none other than John Turturro, and get a load of the cast: James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet, Steve Buscemi, Christopher Walken, Mandy Moore, and Eddie Izzard. Is that not the strangest casting cataclysm, or what?
What's not to like about that cast? Wow.
