It seems you only need it for the Fantasy quests, but you can cope perfectly well with carrying larger items in other games (although in a few of them, I found myself desperately lacking my sack!).
> Maybe there is some multiple dimensions explanation, that means it can only work in fantasy worlds. Or perhaps it helps the camera trees keep an eye on what you're carrying, to better deliver the required items when you need them. Or maybe there is a very simple, but incredibly dull explanation. We'll probably never know...

Ooh, I've got another one!
What is up with the shops in adventure games? When you go into a shop, you expect to be able to buy bread, milk, maybe some fruit and veg, but no! With only a few exceptions, in adventure game shops, there is no food at all. Instead, they sell hooks, ladders, planks of wood and many other inedible objects.
While this is great for any potential people on quests, it must get a bit annoying for the people who inhabit these fantasy lands, and have no-where to buy food! Sure, if you think it will further your quest, you can give them the odd fish, but it doesn't happen very often, and what do they do when there's no-one on a quest near them? Hundreds of innocent dwarves, ogres, and wise old men must starve every year just because of a lack of a decent place to buy any food!

Any thoughts?
