FQ1 stuck IN garden

I see from other postings that I am missing a few things. So I guess I need to get back to other places to get them. BUT I'm sooo stuck in & around the garden (near the west edge of the map: is that the fantasy garden?) that I can't seem to get away. I did have the treat for the bunny which he took and at the cat moment I keep saying wait thinking bunny will help per another posting but I always end up dead. (Funny because in real life I have a cat and a gardening business!LOL)Do I need to go back SOMEHOW to get the missing torn short, scroll, pass ring and hook? Also when at the general store I did give him a diamond which he took, gave me nothing and then asked for another gold piece which I gave him (I don't remember what he gave me then.)
