Well, I guess my favorite holiday has come to an end. Don't you just love a holiday where you don't have to decorate, you don't have to buy a bunch of presents, you don't have to travel, and you don't have to eat a traditional feast of things you don't really like all that much?

But Groundhog Day is sometimes confusing. In my yard today, a very quick ground hog might have seen his shadow. There was a snippit of sunshine about noon, and then the clouds just got thicker and thicker and it has poured rain for hours. So I don't know what the next six weeks will bring. I searched the yard for Chuck holes and found none. Maybe somewhere down in the woods there was a glimmer, and maybe old Chuck was there just at the right moment. But I'm not hopeful.
