I used my back button until I was just one space back from where I entered and left the stable and the hammer was missing. This is what my inventory looked like then.

/ Key of Opening
/ 10 Red Gemstones
/ Stone of Strengthening

Why did it disappear like that?
If it works this way, not sure I want to play.
