I have a lovely wife and 3 beautiful children. I have a job that I despise and a college career that has been on hold for much too long. I have 3 guitars gathering dust, and a gospel quartet that might never sing together again. I have my problems and I have my pains. I have my victories and my achievements. But it's pretty much just day-to-day, mundane stuff. > > > Mich-back to the shadows-ael
That one paragraph says it all. Congratulations, you're normal.
But here is a news flash or two for you:
FLASH! Only a lucky few can claim to have a beautiful family.
FLASH! 54% of employeed people hate their job.
FLASH! Working and raising a family take a lot of your time. Stay healthy, and you can enjoy your music when you retire. With a little luck you will have some free time when the kids are grown. With a little more luck and effort, you can teach your kids to sing and play the guitar.
FLASH! Mundane can be good. It's a better life than being a homeless drug addict sleeping under a bridge. And there are lots of old rich people who would trade places with you.
FLASH! Night school can be tough, but lots of people take that route to a degree.
I think you might be me, 40 years ago. Howard
