I mean, I got a tenpence that way, and I'm in Florida, so that wass good. Before, I only had 2 fivepence coins in money from "across the pond". > > I recently added a half-franc to my collection. It was in dad's change. It the same color as a dime, but it has the same diameter as a penny, and is as thick as a fifty-cent piece. It also has ridges. I figure some cashier wasn't pying attention to size and gave him a half-franc instead of a dime, but I could be wrong. > > Resemblances like that are fun, aren't they? Along with the aforementioned fivepences, I got CAN $1.23, 2 Francs, and even a half-cent from Sierra Leone that way. I don't know if that's how I got my 50 penni/pennia from Finland or not, but I guess it's possible. > > Nyperold
I'm going to play "Can You Top This?" The other day, my wife found a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin in her change. Some one had given it to her as a quarter. 75 cents profit. Howard
