I agree completely. I don't ever remember actually laughing at a Family Circus strip, and Beatle Baily does get old after while. One strip that i can't stand is called 'baby blues'. It's this lame imitation of C&H that really butchers some of calvin's best moments. For example: one time this little kid in the strip catches a fly and lets it outside, and in the process lets 3 more in. this is exactly like a Calvin and Hobbes strip, where calvin does the same thing. I like 'Mother Goose and Grimm' a lot, it's pretty original most of the time. It seems like all the good, original comic strips just quit, like Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side. I also like to read 'Dunesbury' or however it's spelled, although if you miss a week you have no idea what's going on. I like originality in comic strips, it's just what makes them good, even if they aren't incredibly funny.
