"Devil's birthday" is an old name for those days where it's rainy and sunny at the same time. It never seemed impressive in Oregon, where that sort of thing happens all the time because it never stops raining. But in this part of Texas, I've only seen it once, and it was incredible. The rain was so heavy that I could only see a few yards, but the sun was beating down painfully.
