I was born in Lexington, Kenutcky, the heart of blue grass country. Some people think that grass is green, but Kentuckians know it's blue. When I was too young to know any better, I asked my mother why people said it was blue, when it looked green. She explained that in the late afternoon, just before sunset, when the light was just right, it looks blue. Maybe bluish green, but much bluer than any other grass, she said. After that it aways look a little blue to me. My mother knew a lot about things like that. Howard
