Actually my job is somewhat unusual in the sense that it has lots of variance in workload through the year.
I work in consulting, so depending on the phase of the project we are going through we either have to work nights for a month, or we have nothing to do all day for a month.
It is frustrating most of the time to know that you are slacking off now but in a month you will not be able to get any sleep.
Unfortunately, my workload is determined mostly by other people's work.
