Crichton has to count as one of my least favourite authors; I wouldn't mind him so much except that he's *so* popular and *so* bad. If he were just your run-of-the-mill hacktrash author, I wouldn't care that much. But ever since Spielberg made that "Jurassic Park" movie, all heck has broken loose. > > > > Sorry about that. I've heard all the criticisms of him, and frankly, I don't care. His books are entertaining and I really enjoy reading them. That's all that really matters to me. When I sit down to read, I want a book that tells a good story and is fun to read. That's what I look for in a book/author. > > Ke"eping up with these tag lines is straining me menta"lly
I agree with Kelly on this because I read Jurassic Park more than once and loved it. His technical detail in that book is what got me, and I also liked the movie, but for different reasons.
