I wish I could remember the year, but the first computer game I remember was one that belonged to one of the coaches at our school. It was called "tennis" and there were two squares on the screen with a bar on each side. It had a control that would move the bar up and down and a little square tennis ball would move back and forth. If you failed to get the bar in the way of the ball, it would make fun of you by saying "eaaah!" and then it was the other guy's turn to serve. All the kids wanted to play me on that game, because I was the only teacher they could beat. Now that I think about it, I was the only one besides the coach who was dumb enough to play it with them.

I think that was in the 1970's, before I had ever seen an Apple.
